AGL to me means family, the initials are those of my daughter Amelie, my son Greyson and my wife Lindsay, it helps me keep in mind why I started in the first place and a big part was spending more time with my family. This is why we love to help clients achieve their personal goals as well as business ones, but generally they go hand in hand.

I became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in May 2007 at the age of 23, having worked in practice since I left college in 2002, I have been very fortunate to have worked at two brilliant firms and gained a wealth of experience with clients all across the country from small owner managed businesses to multi-million pound groups.

I loved playing football, although some of my teammates will say I never actually played. After having to hang up my boots due to injury, I was bullied into 'gym life' by my partner in crime Mr Fletcher, I'm still not sure it's working. I play the odd game of golf but with a young family it's difficult to devote time to get below a 28 handicap!
If i'm not ripping walls down in my house you can find me at the local real ale pub enjoying a few pints and a game of texas hold 'em.

Working for AGL is great and being reunited with Jon puts the icing on the cake. We first met a while ago back in August 2008 when I started working in practice and the love affair with accountancy began. 

My membership into the ACCA was completed in August 2011, following which I had the opportunity to go to Australia for a year! Down under I gained some brilliant ideas for ways of working, bringing back some little tricks in the digital age that Jon still uses to this day. I have spent time in Industry working for an Experiential Events Company as the FD, this helped me to see life from the client perspective and build on my management skills. The draw of practice life was too much and I decided to once again to plant my feet in practice. Luckily Jon had set up shop and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Since joining the firm I have never looked back.
My formidable skills for debt collecting have impressed whilst working for AGL in the picture above, it seems to work! Ha!

We work well together and are continually looking to push the business forward and finding better ways to help our clients.

My young family and football are my other love’s which take up a most of my time but, when I am free you can generally find me and Jon down the Gym or at the Café grabbing a latte or eggs royale.
